Find the right filter
Match the filter to the exact engine, equipment and part number. Oil family, appearance and thread size alone do not establish fitment.

Which filter are you replacing?
Engine-oil filters
Start with the application lookup. Confirm the filter part number and its own service interval, separately from the oil's interval.
Air and cabin filters
Choose by vehicle and filter location. Engine-air filtration and cabin-air filtration serve different systems; one part does not replace the other.
Fuel and equipment filters
Identify the engine and equipment model, then confirm the listed part number. Heavy-duty, small-engine and powersports filters need their own application check.
Bypass oil filtration
A bypass system supplements the engine's full-flow filter. Match the installed system and replacement element rather than treating a bypass element as a universal engine filter.
Have an older application or an existing part number?
Vintage Vehicle Filter Lookup
Check listed older vehicle applications.
Heavy-Duty Filter Lookup
Look up filters for heavy-duty engines and equipment.
Small-Engine Filter Lookup
Use this tool for small-engine filters; it is not a universal oil recommendation.
Master Filter Cross-Reference
Cross-reference an existing filter number, then confirm the application and product notes.
Check the interval as well as the fit
Oil and filter limits are separate
Follow the applicable filter recommendation and the engine manufacturer's requirements. An extended-drain oil does not automatically extend every filter's service life.
