AMSOIL Bypass Oil Filtration Systems and Filters
Bypass filtration works alongside the engine's full-flow oil filter; it does not replace the full-flow filter. The bypass system routes a controlled partial-flow stream through finer filtration media to add filtration capacity for small particles and soot that full-flow filters cannot capture alone. AMSOIL guidance lists 2-micron-and-larger filtration on supported bypass filter paths.
